高考英语语法:名词所有格

　　知识简介

　　根据我们所学的所有格，高中阶段用的最多的是“'s”和of 结构，现在分别给以叙述：

　　1 表示有生命的东西（人或动物）的名词所有格，一般在名词后“'s”，如：Tom's pen, women's right等。

　　① 名词复数的结尾是-s或-es，它的所有格只在词后加“'”。如：Teachers'Day, the students'homework等。

　　② 复合名词的所有格，在后面的词后加“'s”。如：her son-in-law's dress (她女婿的衣服)。

　　③ 如果一样东西为两人或两人以上共有，则在最后的一个名词后加“'s”；如果不是共有，则每个名词后都要加“'s”。试比较：Tom and Bob's room is empty. Tom's and Bob's radios are broken.

　　④ 表地点（店铺，某人的家等）的名词所有格后面，一般省去它所修饰的名词。如：the barber's(理发店),Mr. Tom's（汤母先生的家）等。

　　⑤ 有些表时间，距离，国家，城镇的无生命的名词，也可加“'s”所有格。如：an hour's walk (半小时的路程)。

　　2 表示无生命的东西的名词一般与of结构表示所有格。如：the top of the hill（山顶）

　　3 “of词组+所有格”用法

　　在表示所属物的名词前有冠词，数词，不定式或指示代词时，常用此结构表示所属关系。如：
　　a friend of my mother's 我母亲一位朋友；the homework of the students'学生们的作业
