　　Peter was 8 and a half years old,and he went to a school near his house. He always went there and came home on foot,and he usually got back on time,but last Firday he camehome from school late. His mom was in the kitchen,and she saw him and said to him,"Why are you late tody,Peter?" "My teacher was angry and sent me to the head master after our lessons.'' Peter answered. "To the headmaster?"his mother said."Why did she send you to him?" "Because she asked a question in the class,"Peter said."and none of the childen gave the anwer.'' His mom was angry."But why did the teacher send you to the headmaster then?" "Becuse her question was:Whoput glue on my chair?"

　　Peter8岁半了；在离家很近的一所小学里上小学；他通常步行去上学；而且通常都准时回家。但是上个星期5；他却很晚了才从学校回到家；他妈妈正在厨房；看见他回来就问他：“PETER；你怎么这么完才回家？” “我们老师今天生气了；下课后她把我送到了校长那。”PETER回答说。 “送你去校长那？”他妈妈问“老师为什么要把你送到校长那？” “因为他在学校问了一个问题。”PETER说；除了我之外没人回答这个问题。“ ”他的妈妈生气了；“但是她为什么送你去校长那？” “因为她问的问题是：是谁在我椅子上面涂了胶水？”
